	SEPTEMBER 2008 NEW STORY - The days of ultra-cheap chinese labor are coming to an end, and factories are closing daily in China's Guangdong Province. The brand new story 'China's Factory Blues' is now available in the stories section. AUGUST 2008 NEW STORY - The story 'Beijing - A City Transformed' is now online under stories - see the images here. JULY 2008 I am leaving for Central Asia to climb the challenging 7000 meter peak Khan Tengri on the border between Kazakhstan and Kirgisistan. It is the last "warm up" climb before my Everest climb next spring. Images from the Tengri Expedition will be posted when I'm back in the beginning of august. JULY 2008 I am safely back after three weeks in China, working hard on all the images for the three new stories. They will be posted once they have been published in Berlingske Tidende before the Olympics. In the meantime the tearsheets section has been updated with lots of news! JUNE 2008 I will be travelling around China for three weeks in June to work on several stories leading up to the Olympics in august. Stories will be posted when I get back. MAY 2008 I won a Gold Prize in the category "Economy, Science and Technology - Stories" in China International Press Photo Contest 2007 with my story "India Rising" about the 'economic boom' in India. APRIL 2008 The Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism in Hannover, Germany has chosen to exhibit my "India Rising" photo essay. 60 exhibitions are planned on the new festival, which takes place from the 18th to the 21st of June. APRIL 2008 I won two awards in Best Of Photojournalism 2008: 3rd Place for "A Childhood Behind Bars," in the category "Best Published Picture Story", and Honerable Mention in the same category for "Beirut After the War". MARCH 2008 I am participating with images from China, Uganda, Italy and Beirut in the project The Human Condition: Photographs by Members of the Lightstalkers Virtual Community. MARCH 2008 I won Third Place in the 65th Pictures Of The Year International (POYi) - 'Feature Picture Story' for "A Childhood Behind Bars," a feature about Latvia's only youth prison. FEBRUAR 2008 I went to Spain to work on a series of news stories leading up to the election next month. JANUARY 2008 NEW STORY - The story 'India Rising' about the 'economic boom' in India's two southern metropolis, Mumbai and Bangalore is now ready. See the images here. Tearsheets here. DECEMBER 2007 I am leaving for India to work on a new story in Mumbai and Bangalore. Images will be posted when I'm back. NOVEMBER 2007 NEW STORY - I have finally finished work on the big story about urbanization I shot in Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. This year marks the first time in human history that the majority of the world’s population will live in cities. At the same time, the number of people living in urban slums is passing the one billion mark, about every third person living in a city. See "Africa's Largest Slum". SEPTEMBER 2007 NEW STORY - I have just been to Peloponnese in southern Greece to shoot a news picture story on the wildfires that were raging in late august. The out-of-control situation have claimed at least 68 lives and left the countryside looks as though a bomb has been dropped on the area. See the images here. Tearsheets here. AUGUST 2007 I travelled to Dublin, Ireland to shoot images showing the smoking ban that has been the law since 2004. Denmark will have the same kind of smoking ban on 15th of august. JUNE 2007 NEW STORY - On a trip to Latvia, I visited the country's only youth prison. The inmates are from 14-21 years old and many have commited serious crimes like murder and rape. A Childhood Behind Bars. Tearsheet here. MAY 2007 I am back from Kenya, where I was working on a story about urbanization in Nairobi's Kibera. MAY 2007 I followed the legendary danish singer/songwriter Michael Falch on his tour. He played a concert on the ferry to Oslo, Norway for a 180-person audience. See the images here. Tearsheet here. APRIL 2007 NEW STORY - I have just returned from Spain, where I shot a story in El Ejido - one of the world's biggest vegetable growing regions, where thousands of illegal African immigrants are working in hot, plastic greenhouses in Spain's Andalucia region for less than 25 euro a day. IMAGE OF THE MONTH it is called, and updated every month with my greatest 'stand-alone' reportage shot. All new portraits will still be added under portraits. MARCH 2007 I covered the street riots in Copenhagen following the clearence of Ungdomshuset (Youth House). On 1 March 2007 the building was cleared of its occupants. This resulted in the break out of rioting, including the blocking of the main street of Norrebro, and fires were started all over the city. JANUARY 2007 Journalist Ida Skytte and I recieves a Danida grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. DECEMBER 2006 NEW STORY - "Shanghai Reconstruction" about the rapid changes in the vibrant metropol on the east coast of China. OCTOBER 2006 I have just returned from yet another climbing adventure in Tibet, where we climbed Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world. Among many assignments I travelled to Damascus, Syria to cover the biggest evacuation of danish citizens since World War II. JUNE 2006 I won the SCANPIX-prize for the best photojournalism bachelor project at The Danish School of Journalism for my two stories on water pollution in China. Go to Stories. MAY 2006 I just got back from a long trip to China, where I shot two stories on water pollution and the devastating consequenses for the country's people. APRIL 2006 I won a Gold Prize in China International Press Photo Contest 2005 with my story on "Russian Female Tennis". MARCH 2006 Back after 10 days in Milan, Italy, where I worked on a feature about one of the illigal "Roma Camps" in the fashion city. MARCH 2006 I won 1st. Prize in Sport Feature in the Danish Picture of the Year 2005/2006. DECEMBER 2005 I won 1st Place - 'student section' of International Documentary Photo Awards Korea 2005 with my story on "The Forgotten War" in Uganda. I also recieved honorable mention for my story on "Russian Female Tennis". SEPTEMBER 2005 Just got back from Africa, where I climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and shot two stories related to the Lord's Resistance Army in northern Uganda.
